COMMUNITY SERVICE

Donation Drive – As you run errands at various stores before heading to Convening Leaders, be sure to pick up a few extra pairs of new socks. In 2012 PCMA is supporting San Diego’s Monarch School for homeless children, Rachel’s House and Tomorrow Project with our Donation Drive of new socks. The goal is to donate 5,000 pairs of new socks! (all sizes welcome) 

Donation Drive is part of the PCMA Network for the Needy initiatives that are supported through founding partner, Global Experience Specialists (GES).

Party With a Purpose – Don’t miss this popular event aboard the USS Midway Museum, an aircraft carrier docked in the San Diego Bay. Proceeds will benefit San Diego’s Reality Changers, PCMA’s Network for the Needy, and the PCMA Education Foundation. Reality Changers provides inner-city youth from disadvantaged backgrounds with the resources to become first generation college students. This is your opportunity to have a blast while giving back!

Hospitality Helping Hands - Step out of the Convention Center to give back to San Diego’s Community Coaching Center on Sunday. Assist in painting and landscaping projects to beautify this afterschool center for autistic children.  Rather be indoors?  Put together hygiene kits for the homeless, baby baskets for Family Health Centers of San Diego, as another way to participate in Hospitality Helping Hands.  100% of your $75 USD registration fee will go directly to the charity. Pre-registration is required.

PCMA ENVIRONMENTAL MISSION STATEMENT

PCMA is committed to educating our members on green meeting practices, conducting our meetings and organization in an environmentally friendly way and moving our industry toward a more ecologically responsible future.

Greening the Meeting
PCMA has teamed up with Carbonfund.org to offset the carbon footprint of PCMA Convening Leaders. Offset your carbon travel emissions by contributing $8.28 USD and help green the meeting. Mark this option on your registration.
